Start with the fit

These styles use combined men's and women's size labels. Choose the exact label shown for your pair.

A wide toe box gives your toes more room, but it does not guarantee a wide fit through the whole shoe. Customers report different fit experiences, including a snug opening.

More room for toes. A level base.

Wide toe box
More room at the front for your toes to spread. It describes the shape around your toes, not a promise that every part of the shoe is extra wide.
Zero drop
The heel and forefoot sit at the same height. That is different from how much cushioning a shoe has.

Start gradually

Start with short, easy walks and build up as you feel comfortable. Give yourself time before longer hikes or demanding terrain. If you feel sore, reduce the time you spend in the shoes. Persistent pain is a reason to stop and speak with a physiotherapist.

Barefoot shoes are a change in how your feet experience the ground. They are not a shortcut to pain-free walking or a requirement for every hike.

Questions, answered

Are wide toe box and zero drop the same thing?

No. Wide toe box describes the room around your toes. Zero drop means the heel and forefoot are at the same height. Neither term tells you everything about the fit or cushioning.

Which pair should I choose?

Start with HYKLE Barefoot Shoes for everyday wear and walks, FlexGrip for gym sessions and water activities, or lined OptiWarm boots for colder days.

Are these shoes waterproof?

Do not choose these styles on the assumption that they will keep water out. FlexGrip is suitable for water activities, but that does not make it waterproof. Check the individual product details for your intended use.

What if I am between sizes?

Contact support@hykle.com with your foot length and the style you want. We do not recommend one universal size-up rule for all three styles.

Can I mix sizes and colors in a bundle?

Yes, within the same shoe style. Choose the size and color for each pair. The listed quantity offers do not combine different shoe styles.

Can I wear barefoot shoes for a long hike straight away?

Give yourself time to adjust with shorter, easier walks first. Longer hikes, rough ground and heavy loads may need a different approach. Read our transition guide before making a big change.

What if I ordered the wrong size?

Request a return within 90 days of delivery. Email us for instructions before sending anything back. You pay return postage.

When will my order ship?

Orders ship within two business days. Delivery time depends on your destination and fulfillment location.
